7.4/10

I found the hotel to be quite charming, especially with its modern and renovated rooms that made my stay enjoyable. The location was perfect for easy access to skiing, just a short walk to the gondola, which I appreciated. However, the service left something to be desired, as there were some responsiveness issues during my stay. Overall, it's a good choice if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway, but there are some areas that could use improvement.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were beautifully renovated, featuring modern decor and comfortable beds, plus a cozy fireplace that added a nice touch. However, there were issues like an inoperable TV in the den during my stay, which was disappointing.
Service
6.0
Though the staff was kind, I experienced some challenges with responsiveness regarding issues in my room. I had to wait longer than expected for maintenance and service, which diminished the overall quality of the experience.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, very close to the gondola and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, making it super convenient to get around and enjoy everything Vail has to offer.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was decent, though it could be enhanced with better wine options and more variety in the menu. I found better value at nearby restaurants than at the hotel itself.
Facilities
7.0
While the gym is currently in need of renovation, I appreciated the steam room's amenities and the convenience of having an on-site ski rental shop. However, the pool area could use some repairs.

8.4/10

The Hythe is a beautifully designed hotel with a cozy atmosphere and seamless access to skiing, making it perfect for winter getaways. While the rooms are stylish and modern, be prepared for some extra costs that can add up quickly. The staff is genuinely attentive and creates a welcoming environment, but the dining options could use a bit more variety to fully complement the fantastic stay.

Our room was recently renovated, featuring warm decor and stylish furnishings. While it was a bit small for four guests, it was cozy and included a large TV. However, I would have appreciated a microwave for leftovers.

Service was exceptional across the board. From the friendly front desk staff to the attentive ski concierge, every interaction was pleasant. They resolved any issues quickly, making our experience very enjoyable.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic for skiers, just a short walk to the Eagle Bahn gondola. The valet service made accessing the lifts simple and hassle-free, which is essential for long ski days.
Dining
7.0
While we didn't dine in the restaurant, the grab-and-go breakfast options were very convenient. I would love to see more variety for breakfast to elevate the experience further.
Facilities
8.0
The common areas, including several cozy spots with fireplaces, were perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. However, the pool area could use some updates to match the lovely room renovations.

6.2/10

I recently stayed at The Hythe for a quick ski getaway, and while I appreciated the beautiful renovated environment and the fun whiskey tasting events, my experience was marred by some significant issues. The room was quite small for a family of four, making it uncomfortable for changing and storing our gear. Additionally, the service left a lot to be desired, especially in regard to honoring my loyalty benefits. Overall, it had its highlights, but the drawbacks were hard to ignore.

Rooms
5.0
The room was surprisingly small for what we paid, making our stay less comfortable than expected.
Service
5.0
While there were some friendly faces among the staff, the overall service was frustrating, especially regarding room upgrades for loyalty members.
Location
9.0
The location is great with quick access to the gondola and nearby activities, making skiing super convenient.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was pleasant, with some delicious breakfast options, but it could be more consistent.
Facilities
6.0
The offered amenities like the spa and cozy fireplaces in rooms were nice touches but not enough to justify the price.

The hotel offered an outstanding experience during our stay, with impeccable customer service that truly made us feel welcomed. The daily activities like s'mores by the fire and live music added a unique touch to our evenings, while the conveniently located facilities made exploring the area a breeze. However, it was slightly disappointing that the gym and spa were undergoing renovations during our visit, as that limited some options for relaxation after a day of skiing.
